Pacers feel the wrath of LeBron

Hey, Indiana Pacers, you won't like LeBron James when he's angry.

King James did eveything except turn green and rip through his uniform to start the second half of Thursday's Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals in Miami. And the Heat needed every last bit of LeBron's fury and physical gifts in their 90-79 win over the Pacers .

You see, LeBron was just pedestrian in the first half, scoring 11 points as the Heat trailed 44-40. Then, the King went from Bruce Banner to Incredible Hulk in a matter of minutes. And his teammates were the first ones to feel the wrath of LBJ.

LeBron made sure all that huffin' and puffin' wasn't just for show. He scored 16 points in the third quarter, along with four assists, four rebounds, a block and no turnovers. To put it in further perspective, LeBron personally outscored the Pacers in the frame (16-13) and scored or assisted on 25 of Miami’s 30 points in the quarter.

Here’s a quick glimpse of the damage LeBron inflicted.

LeBron’s one-man show lifted the Heat to a 3-2 series lead and set Twitter on fire.

It sounds like LeBron was merely channeling his good old days.

LET'S GET PHYSICAL

We expected it to be chippy in Game 5, and we were not disappointed. Heat backup center Chris "Birdman" Anderson provided the fireworks — and some controversy.

With nine minutes left in the first half, Birdman got tangled up with fellow reserve big man Tyler Hansbrough — and the fun ensued.

And some wanted this little scuffle to go all cage match.

But most were wondering what was the difference between Birdman’s shove and Nazir Mohammad’s push of LeBron James in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. Mohammad was ejected for his action.

Don’t remember it? Here’s a refresher.

Even though he wasn't ejected, some think the league might step in and punish the Birdman for Game 6.

If that wasn’t enough for you, Pacers big man (and we mean big) David West and Heat point guard Mario Chalmers (not big) also went face to face before Heat enforcer Udonis Haslem stepped in.

All the physical play left the Pacers' big men in a foul mood after the game.
