Noah in Bulls' lineup, Brewer sits

Published Apr. 13, 2011 8:50 p.m. ET

Center Joakim Noah was in the Chicago Bulls' lineup Wednesday against the New Jersey Nets despite a sprained right ankle, while guard Ronnie Brewer sat out with a sprained left thumb.

Noah, who recently missed three games, had 13 points and just three rebounds in a win over New York on Tuesday. He got tangled with the Knicks' Bill Walker late in the game and did not return, although coach Tom Thibodeau says he could have gone back in.

Brewer was injured in a loose-ball scramble during the second quarter against the Knicks and left the game, but Thibodeau says the injury isn't serious. Brewer won't need surgery and is expected to be ready for the playoff opener against Indiana on Saturday.
