No. 15 New Mexico tops UNLV 76-66

Roman Martinez scored 16 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead No. 15 New Mexico to a 76-66 victory against No. 23 UNLV on Wednesday night.

Darington Hobson also scored 16 for New Mexico (22-3, 8-2 Mountain West Conference) and had 10 rebounds.

Dairese Gary added 15 points and Phillip McDonald had 13 for the Lobos, who shot 52 percent (11 for 21) from 3-point range.

UNLV (19-5, 7-3) which trailed throughout the game, was led by Tre'Von Willis with 13 points, 10 assists, four rebounds and three steals.

The Lobos boasted a 45-23 rebounding advantage over the Rebels.
