NBA reportedly bans hoverboards, fireworks, trampolines and more in new CBA

As salaries continue to skyrocket, NBA teams are looking to cut down on the number of ways players can injure themselves off of the court. But what good is being a multimillionaire if you can't ride a jet ski?

According to multiple reports, the new NBA CBA will ban players from participating in multiple leisure activities, including jumping on trampolines, cruising around on hoverboards and, yes, riding jet skis.

Via The Big Lead:

A highly-placed source with direct knowledge of the CBA negotiations confirms to The Big Lead that this is mostly accurate. Fireworks, hoverboards, and trampoline jumping are indeed banned activities for players now.

Oh, and jet skis? Apparently you can ride a banana boat all you want, but a jet ski is a no-go moving forward.

Here's a list of things the NBA might consider banning next at this rate: esports (you could get carpal tunnel); go-kart racing (have you seen how fast NBA players go on those things?!); shopping-cart jousting (might as well be clear while we're banning things); paintball (Tim Duncan caught wind of that potential change and immediately retired); and Olympic dressage (horses are dangerous, you know).

There haven't been any high-profile trampoline or jet-ski accidents recently in the NBA, which just makes me wonder whether there's some kind of secret incident we don't know about that forced the league offices to address this scourge among its stars.

My guess? If such a scenario did play out, it definitely involved JaVale McGee.
