NBA invasion: Heat, Magic to play preseason game in heart of NCAA country
If you're in the great state of Kentucky and itching to see some live NBA basketball next season, you won't have to travel very far. The Miami Heat are once again invading Louisville for the 2015-16 preseason, as they'll take on the Orlando Magic on October 7, 2015 at the KFC Yum! Center.
Louisville and the state at large are obviously no strangers to elite basketball, so the visit from the Heat and Magic is a natural fit. If Tobias Harris is still with Orlando, the former Volunteer could see a sizable showing of Tennessee faithful. Harris, however, is a free agent, so his presence is anything but a lock.
KFC Yum! Center General Manager Dennis Petrullo praised the local fans and credited them with the NBA's decision to return to Louisville.
"It's a huge testament to the fans and the city of Louisville that such an impressive professional basketball team wanted to come back and play here again," Petrullo said.
