NBA GM survey names Ty Lawson trade most underrated acquisition
The Houston Rockets made some noise this offseason, despite not having a high draft pick or salary cap space to play with.
Instead, the Rockets and GM Daryl Morey flipped some of their young assets to the Denver Nuggets in order to acquire star point guard Ty Lawson.
In a recent survey of NBA general managers at NBA.com, the acquisition of Lawson tied for first place in the "most underrated player acquisition" category, as seen below:

1. Ty Lawson, Houston -- 10.3%
Paul Pierce, L.A. Clippers -- 10.3%
David West, San Antonio -- 10.3%
4. Amir Johnson, Boston -- 6.9%
David Lee, Boston -- 6.9%
Greg Monroe, Milwaukee -- 6.9%
That was the only time Lawson's name came up, however. Lawson finished second behind LaMarcus Aldridge in this category:
