NBA fines Markieff Morris for vicious groin kick

Markieff Morris pulled a full-on Draymond-ing during Wednesday night's game against the Denver Nuggets, when the Wizards small forward left the ground and brought his right leg up into the undercarriage of one Miles Plumlee.

The kick earned Morris a Flagrant 2 foul and an ejection from the game, because ... ow:

Bleacher Report's Howard Beck on Friday reported the fine levied by the league. Morris will be docked $25,000 for the kick.

The fine matches the punishment Draymond Green received for popping Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams in the groin during the 2016 Western Conference finals, which ostensibly solidifies a developing league stance that first-offense crotch-kickers will receive cash punishments but not be hit with a suspension.

We can all hope this doesn't become a trend the league has to address via formal punitive outline.
