Metta World Peace expresses interest to coach St John's

Metta World Peace, the forward formerly known as Ron Artest, is a St. John’s great, and he has now expressed his interest in coaching his alma mater on Twitter. While reports have surfaced that St. John’s legend Chris Mullin is a candidate for the job, which was vacated by Steve Lavin this afternoon, World Peace has publicly thrown his hat into the ring:

I doubt that he’ll get much traction as a candidate, but truthfully, I’ve never wanted anything more. #MettaWorldPeaceForStJohns.
