Dallas Mavericks point guard Jason Terry is already training for next season, despite the uncertainty created by the NBA lockout.
Terry, the union representative for the NBA champion Mavericks, says he is very optimistic there will be a season, though he realizes the potential for a delay at the start.
Terry threw the ceremonial first pitch before the Texas Rangers game on Friday night. His high pitch was similar to one teammate Dirk Nowitzki threw at Rangers Ballpark four weeks earlier.
Nowitzki said this week that he will play for Germany at the upcoming European Championship when Olympic berths will be at stake. Terry says he cringed when he heard that but knows Nowitzki is looking to do something great for his country.
