Mark Cuban praises Rajon Rondo's work ethic

Published Jul. 30, 2015 6:31 p.m. ET

Rajon Rondo's short-lived time with the Dallas Mavericks was mostly a disaster. The Mavericks were knocked out in the first round of the playoffs, and the offense suffered heavily after the acquisition of the mercurial point guard.

Still, despite the disastrous deal, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban wasn't hesitant to praise Rondo for his work ethic.

Here's what Cuban told Zach Lowe, via The Lowe Post

"By the end, working with our guys, he ended up shooting 35% I think from threes, and actually was somewhat consistent. There were other reasons why it didn’t work, but one of the reasons why it almost, why it could have worked, was because he was a hard worker. He really did put in the time to try to make it work."
