Manu nets Satanic triple-single

The San Antonio Spurs seem like the fun, wholesome, fundamental bunch. But in their Western Conference finals-clinching Game 4 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night, one of the Spurs' star players turned in a Satanic triple-single.

Yup, you read that right.

Star sixth man Manu Ginobili had what he would consider a downer by his standards in Game 4, making only one shot. But how many did he shoot? Six. No big deal, right? Just a poor shooting performance. Well, he also made four free throws. And he failed to grab an offensive rebound, but grabbed six on the defensive end. And he brought some mad passing skills to the game, too. Just check this one out:

When the game was done, this was Manu’s line:

6 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists. So to the question, “Just how pure are the Spurs?” we can provide the following answer:

Pure enough to overcome a 6-6-6 triple-single.

Tony Parker even got into the act, going 6 for 6 from the free-throw line while also dishing out six assists.

Ginobili even kept it going with six field-goal attempts and six turnovers.

That’s five 6s, one short having the ultimate 6x6. But if we’re lucky, he’ll get one more six in the NBA Finals:
