Man, 43, instructs Houston Rockets to not draft him

Now that Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey has to scratch one middle-aged man off his draft list, the team’s plans to dethrone the Golden State Warriors as NBA champions have taken a severe hit.
And I thought we were a destination franchise... pic.twitter.com/j4pUkr2NY8

The hits really keep coming for a franchise that was just a few wins away from an NBA Finals appearance. At the very least, this top prospect, who could have added some experience to the front court with Dwight Howard, was complimentary in his letter to the Rockets general manager.
With this unpleasant piece of news, the Rockets will have to go to their second option -- further encasing them as anything but a “destination franchise.”
Note to Morey: I am close to the right side of 30 and just recently hit 20 consecutive shots at an arcade basketball hoop. I would be more than happy to join the team.
