LeBron James outdid himself with this lazy, boneheaded move
LeBron James' basketball IQ is unrivaled — and he'll be the first person to tell you all about it.
So how in the world did the Cleveland Cavaliers star commit this extraordinarily awful (and lazy) turnover against the Detroit Pistons on Monday night?

This probably won't shock you, but the Cavs lost this one with James doing things like that. It's just a dumb, completely avoidable mistake by James. There's no pressure on him. He has plenty of space to get across the half-line in time. Instead, he simply doesn't.
Even if he had avoided a turnover, it's bad basketball. Every second is precious during a half-court possession, and lollygagging is death; that need to play faster and with more urgency was one of the reasons the Cavs made a coaching change from David Blatt to Tyronn Lue in the first place.
Of course, while it's the laziest thing we've seen LeBron do, this play has some competition. It's just that usually James' nonchalance manifests on the defensive end, like this:

Why didn't anyone tell us that LeBron and James Harden had the same defensive coach growing up?
