LeBron James is reportedly leaning toward skipping Olympics
LeBron James is still reveling in Cleveland's first professional title in more than 50 years, but it appears the King won't be adding to his gold medal haul this summer.
The three-time Finals MVP is leaning toward not suiting up with Team USA for the Olympics, The Vertical reported Monday. According to the report, James hasn't told Team USA whether he's planning to play, but team officials are not expecting the two-time Olympic gold-medal winner to play this summer.
James would be the latest superstar opting to skip the Rio Games, joining Stephen Curry, Russell Westbrook. James Harden and LaMarcus Aldridge. Fears have increased over the Zika virus and the poor water conditions in the host country.
James became the first player to lead both teams in any series in points, rebounds, assists, blocks and steals. He helped the Cavs become the first team in Finals history to erase a 3-1 series lead.
