LeBron James abandons Cavaliers to work out with Dwyane Wade
LeBron James and Dwyane Wade are good friends and former teammates. They won two championships together, and made four straight trips to the NBA Finals. But two summers ago James fled the Miami Heat to try and win a title with his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers.
Apparently, that decision hasn't harmed his relationship with Wade in the slightest bit. The two worked out on Wednesday morning in South Beach:

Even though the Cavs are in a bit of a funk, there's nothing too strange about this—especially if you ask Wade:
Cleveland doesn't play again until Friday, when it hosts the same Washington Wizards that spanked them last Sunday afternoon (LeBron sat that one out). And Miami has the good fortune of playing the hopeless Phoenix Suns on Thursday night.
But for all the conspiracy theorists out there, James and Wade can both enter unrestricted free agency this summer, and this workout's timing sends an interesting signal. Will these two join forces ever again?
Um, doubtful. Both are steadily declining All-Stars, and there's almost no chance either leaves his current franchise. Wade's next contract will be interesting, considering he's 34 years old and the Heat would be foolish to give him a maximum contract, even if it's only two or three years long.
The Cavs, meanwhile, should still surround LeBron with the very best outside shooters they can afford. Wade definitely isn't that.
In the here and now, why would LeBron fly down to Florida to work out with Wade when, you know, he already has a bunch of teammates in Ohio? Doesn't anybody care what this video will do to Kevin Love's feelings?
