Lakers vs Warriors Preview and Prediction: Revenge of the Dubs?
Friday, the Los Angeles Lakers will look to duplicate the success they found last year and hand the Golden State Warriors yet another L
First things first, it must be mentioned that the Lakers are going to wear their Hardwood Classic throwback jerseys and “if you don’t like that, you don’t like NBA basketball.”
Next, seeing as the Golden State Warriors completely dominated Russell Westbrook and his band of nobodies on Thursday night, the Lakers could be in for one of two scenarios: one, that GS takes the night off due to the emotion of the first game of their back-to-back or two, GS completely obliterates LA for handing them one of their 9 losses last season.
Despite getting off to a 4-1 start, the Warriors, similar to the Miami Heat in 2010, still resemble a team looking to find their true identity.

After an impressive victory against Dwight Howard’s Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night, the Purple and Gold are in for their first real test of the season. This is to say, it will be one of the first times we see the character of this young team when the going gets rough.
Through their first five games, Los Angeles has kept the contests relatively close, giving themselves a shot to win in nearly every game but Friday could be a completely different story. If the Warriors come out and pounce just like they did in the preseason, it will be interesting to see how the team responds to the adversity.
Other notes include the first official matchup between Kevin Durant and Brandon Ingram, how D’Angelo Russell will fair against his counterpart Stephen Curry, and how damn good those throwback jerseys are going to look on TV.

Prediction
The Purple and Gold donning their amazing Hardwood Classic throwbacks fight valiantly but eventually fall to the juggernaut that is the Golden State Warriors. Brandon Ingram has his first double-digit game of his young career, with many of his points coming against the Dubs second and third units.
