Lakers: Larry Nance Jr Catches a Body in Brooklyn, Posterizes Brook Lopez

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 7:36 p.m. ET

The Los Angeles Lakers may have dropped their eighth straight game against a struggling Brooklyn Nets team, but all of the talk will be about Larry Nance Jr’s poster going forward

It’s no secret that Lakers’ sophomore, Larry Nance Jr is a poster waiting to happen, and Wednesday night against the Brooklyn Nets, he turned your dreams into reality, absolutely destroying Brook Lopez in the process.

First hitting his defender with a mean cross at the top of the key, Junior proceeded to take off from just outside the dotted line to smash one home on Lopez’s head, who is now “deceased” according to Wikipedia.

As many have pointed out, you know it’s a good dunk when the bench reacts like Brooklyn’s bench did, attempting, and failing, to control their emotions.

Junior followed this possession up with a couple good defensive plays and a midrange jumper which helped keep LA in the game, all of which are positive signs for the team going forward.

Damian Lillard even chimed in via Twitter saying that LNJ had already claimed the title of dunk of the year with his poster in Brooklyn and we aren’t going to disagree with him.

Of all of Larry’s current posters — and he has a ton already — this may be the most absurd, especially after looking at how far he was from the basket in the still photos which were oddly reminiscent of Terrence Ross’ poster over Kenneth Faried which left fans asking, “How in the word did he convert that?

The Purple and Gold’s next shot at redemption comes on Friday against the Philadelphia 76ers, where we’ll hopefully see another poster, but more importantly, a win.
