Kobe Bryant, out since January, finished third on Lakers in shots attempted

You know the joke: Kobe Bryant loves to shoot. Now we have some more humorous proof.

Despite missing 47 of 82 games this season due to injuries -- one of which he jokingly blamed on passing too much -- Bryant still managed to finish third on the Lakers in shots attempted with 713.

Jordan Hill led the team with 777. Carlos Boozer was second with 743. Hill didn't pass Kobe for the team lead until March 29, his 64th and the Lakers' 72nd game of the season. Boozer passed Kobe on April 3. Bryant last played on Jan. 21.

Some other highlights from Bryant's stat rankings among his Lakers teammates:

• He was fourth in points with 782 behind Hill, Boozer and Jeremy Lin;

• He was just 12th in field-goal percentage;

• He was second to Lin in free throws attempted with 241.

Before you go making too much fun of him for all the shooting, consider this: He was third on the team in assists, too, with 197. Maybe that really is why he got hurt.

It should also be noted that the Lakers were horrendous this season, which certainly helped Kobe's numbers relative to his teammates. Their 21-61 record was the worst in franchise history, and their offense was 19th out of 30 in the NBA in scoring.

Bryant's total was good for 101st in the whole league, with only one person above him on the list playing fewer than 50 games -- Chris Bosh, with 44. You have to go down to No. 189 on the list to find a games-played total lower than Bryant's -- Kevin Durant, with just 27 games.
