Knicks' Stoudemire out vs. Pelicans

NEW ORLEANS (AP) New York's Amare Stoudemire is sitting out the Knicks' game Wednesday night against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Knicks coach Mike Woodson says Stoudemire's left knee was sore following Tuesday night's 98-93 loss at Memphis.

Woodson says trainers have indicated the 6-foot-11 forward and center has no new injury of any significance, ''just soreness.''

Stoudemire has played in 40 of New York's previous 53 games this season, averaging 10.2 points and 4.5 rebounds in 19.7 minutes per game. In late January, he missed seven games with a left ankle sprain.
