Knicks fans name their new D-League team ... the Knicks

After suffering through another losing season, New York Knicks fans who watched all of the losses may not have been the ones to ask when the team needed a name for its new Developmental League affiliate.

The team held a fan vote and the fans chose to name New York's D-League team ... the Knicks. So they either love the Knicks name, or they think the Knicks play like a D-League team after watching Carmelo Anthony & Co. go 37-45 this season.

The Westchester Knicks will replace the Erie BayHawks as the Knicks' D-League affiliate and debut during the 2014-15 season.
