Karl-Anthony Towns, Kevin Spacey get cozy in phone booth

One of the perks of being one of the best players in an NBA rookie class is some of the celebrity meet-and-greets at social events and talk shows. On Friday’s episode of "The Tonight Show," No.1 draft pick Karl-Anthony Towns made a cameo appearance during the “Phone Booth” sketch.

The premise is simple. There are two phone booths, each with a contestant inside. In this case, it was host Jimmy Fallon in one and acclaimed actor Kevin Spacey in the other. They each have to answer random trivia. Each time one incorrectly answers a question, a guest is crammed into the phone booth with them. And if the other answers correctly, the opposite contestant gets a person in his phone booth.

Suffice to say, Kevin Spacey wasn’t very good, and Towns, all 6 feet 11 inches of him, got to know Kevin Spacey very well. You can see the video here.

But Towns wasn’t complaining!

Always good to see a rookie having fun. Hopefully his season with the Minnesota Timberwolves is just as fun too.
