Jordan to AP: 'Nothing to do' with LeBron video

Published Dec. 2, 2010 10:53 p.m. ET

Michael Jordan is telling The Associated Press that he had nothing to do with a viral video that mocks LeBron James.

The video looks so much like a real commercial that Jordan felt compelled to say he wasn't part of it.

''I had absolutely nothing to do with it, Nike had absolutely nothing to do with it,'' Jordan said.

The NBA great told the AP in a telephone interview Thursday that he didn't even know about the video until one of his kids sent it to him.

The video making the rounds pokes fun at a Nike ad in which James asks, ''What should I do?'' The fake video ends with a voiceover of Jordan saying, ''Maybe you're just making excuses.''

Jordan spoke to the AP on the day that James was set to make his return to Cleveland as a member of the Miami Heat.
