Joakim Noah 'frustrated' with the way he's playing

Joakim Noah was looking forward to playing much better for the Bulls this season, due to a combination of being much healthier while getting the chance to play in a more free-flowing offensive system.

But it hasn't worked out that way thus far.

The new coach's lineups have had Noah coming off the bench, which is something he only did in two games total over the last five years. And with his offensive numbers down across the board, Noah admitted to being frustrated with the way he's played to this point in the season.

"I have to be more aggressive offensively and be up for my opportunities," a forthright Noah said late Friday after the 106-94 loss to the Warriors. "Right now, I'm not really sure where I can get them. But when they come, I have to be ready and I have to be ready to score."

Noah is averaging 2.5 points and 8.4 rebounds in just 20.5 minutes. That's the lowest playing time total of his nine-year career, even less than the 20.7 minutes he averaged during an inconsistent rookie season for a non-playoff team.

"I'm frustrated with the way I'm playing. But it's an adjustment. I feel like I'm rushing a little bit. I'm making too many turnovers.

"I have to be more aggressive when I get my opportunities. There are less. But I still have to figure it out."
