Jarrett Jack on Deron Williams: 'Sometimes a change is necessary'
Deron Williams was the best on-court option for the Nets at point guard last year, but it's becoming clearer and clearer over time that he was far from their best locker room presence.
Williams, who never seemed to be happy during his time in Brooklyn, worked a buyout with the Nets over the offseason. Now the starter, Jarrett Jack doesn't ignore his talent, but does acknowledge why the change could help.
From Tim Bontemps of the New York Post:
This isn't the first time we've gotten insight into the lack of respect Williams commanded in the Nets' locker room. Actually, Joe Johnson alluded to that earlier in the day.
Hadn't even spoken to him. That says it all right there, doesn't it?
Maybe the Nets can be better with a little less talent.
