Jahlil Okafor Makes Appearance at MIA With Chance the Rapper
Philadelphia 76ers center Jahlil Okafor came on stage and danced with Chance the Rapper during his set at Made in America in Philadelphia this weekend.
Jahlil Okafor is doing a lot to make sure he shows up in Philadelphia 76ers social media lately. Just last week, pictures emerged of his new and improved body with more toned muscles for next season. Over labor day weekend, he was greeting fans at various booths at Made in America on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia.
As the festival closed on Sunday (it’s an annual festival that takes place on Labor Day Weekend, last year Beyonce closed day one by sporting a Sixers shirt during her set) Okafor was on the side of the stage for Chance the Rapper’s set. Chance, also known by his real name as Chancellor Bennet, recently put out his third big mixtape, Coloring Book, and it was talked about a lot as being one of the best mixtape to come out ever.
Chance also appeared and worked closely with fellow Chicago native Kanye West on West’s newest project, The Life of Pablo.
Chance was performing one of the songs from TLOP that he worked on, the most popular song of the album, “Father Stretch My Hands Part I.” As the beat was about to drop, Chance walks over to the side of the stage, daps up Jahlil Okafor, and introduces Jahlil to the crowd.

There were cheers from the Philly crowd, and Chance pulled Jah on stage to put the moves on for the huge beat drop in “Father Stretch My Hands.”
It looks like, based on videos emerging of the set, it was a very fun time to see Chance perform at Made in America. The festival can get miserable at times, since they tend to sell as many tickets as humanly possible to that event, making it hard to walk around and do anything once you’re inside the festival. For those that can bear the crowds and the dirt, it can be a life changing experience. For others, not so much. But Chance seems to put a smile on the faces of everyone he performs in front of.
Jah getting noticed by some of the bigger music celebrities right now is awesome, and what better way to capitalize on your set in Philadelphia than to bring on a Philly athlete?
