In his last two games, Gordon Hayward has played out of his mind
It's almost as if Utah's Gordon Hayward knows that All-Star voting has reached its last week and now is the time to impress. His recent play has been nothing short of stellar.
Hayward averages a career-high 19.3 points with 4.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.9 three's made per game. In the most recent return of All-Star votes on January 7, Hayward didn't make the cut. Despite a solid season thus far, he wasn't listed among the Western Conference's top fifteen candidates. Since then, however, Hayward has gone on a scoring rampage.
In a game against Miami, Hayward scored a season-high 34 points (14-of-22, .636%) on an efficient night from the field. During Sunday's win over the Lakers, Hayward added 25 points (10-of-21, .476%) with three blocks on defense.
He averages 29.5 points per game with a 55.8% shooting percentage in his last two outings. For a heat map of how he's looked from the floor, check above.
