Kevin Durant is a free agent this summer, free to sign with any team he wants. He's also from the Washington D.C. area. The Washington Wizards are a professional basketball team in Washington D.C. Thus, there's plenty of speculation that Durant may follow in LeBron James' footsteps and play for his hometown team.

Durant is the second best player in the world, and may very well become number one at some point over the next few seasons. The Wizards are smart to do everything they can to get him to sign. The only fear is they go too far.
