Heat, Thunder win again in Orlando summer league action

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 1:58 p.m. ET

A look at some of the highlights from the three games on the schedule Sunday at the Orlando Summer League.

HOT HEAT

Miami won in a rout for the second straight day, beating the New York Knicks 74-48 even while resting Justise Winslow and Josh Richardson. The Heat opened play by beating the Los Angeles Clippers 71-51 on Saturday.

CAMERON CAN

Second-year guard Cameron Payne continued his strong start to the summer with 25 points in Oklahoma City's 81-72 victory over the Clippers. Payne capped his 16-point performance in Saturday's opener by hitting the go-ahead 3-pointer with 3.6 seconds remaining in an 86-85 victory over Dallas.

BETTER BRICE

Rookie Brice Johnson had 23 points on 11-of-18 shooting and added six rebounds in 30 minutes for the Clippers. The rookie from North Carolina, taken with the No. 25 pick in the draft, had just six points in his first game.

A ROUGH DIAMOND STONE

Another Clippers rookie, second-rounder Diamond Stone, went for double figures Sunday - only that wasn't a good thing in this case. The 6-foot-11 center from Maryland scored three points and used up all of his 10 fouls that players are allowed in summer league.

0 FOR ORLANDO

Maybe the Knicks should have stuck with Las Vegas. They switched summer leagues this year and are having a rough time in Orlando, getting blown out in both games. After losing 81-49 to Detroit in their opener, the Knicks were just a little better in a 74-48 loss to Miami. New York is an abysmal 5 for 34 (15 percent) from 3-point range.

THE KIDS ARE ALL RIGHT

Glenn Robinson III and Juwan Howard Jr., whose fathers played in the NBA, both had good games Sunday. Robinson finished with 16 points in Indiana's 80-70 loss to Charlotte, while Howard - whose father is coaching Miami's entry - had 17 points on 6-of-8 shooting for the Heat.

MONDAY'S MATCHUPS

There are three more games on the schedule Monday. Dallas plays the Magic's White team, Detroit faces the Magic Blue, and the Thunder try to improve to 3-0 when they meet Charlotte.
