Heat guard Green still out with undisclosed illness

INDIANAPOLIS -- Miami coach Erik Spoelstra offered no new information on the status of Heat guard Gerald Green, who was hospitalized Wednesday morning. Spoelstra spoke to the media before Friday night's game with the Indiana Pacers.

The team continues to limit the details released about Green. He did not play in Miami's home loss to Atlanta on Tuesday and sat out with what Miami described as an illness. Miami police and fire were called to Green's condo early Wednesday after a 911 call that described Green as bleeding and passed out in front of his condo building.

Spoelstra said the Heat are doing their best to remain focused on their opponents while dealing with Green's situation.

''Obviously there's some things we've had to deal with in-house,'' Spoelstra said. ''It's what you learn in this league. Veterans learn this over time, but successful teams learn how to compartmentalize.''
