Hawks continue to embrace hip hop, give away custom '2 Chainz' shirt
It's becoming more common-practice in the NBA, but the Hawks are leading the charge. Hip hop is inching its way to the front of Atlanta's identity as both a city and, arguably, as a basketball team.
Most recently, the official Hawks' Twitter account posted a #FreebieFriday where they gave away a shirt customized to look like rapper 2 Chainz was wearing it -- with, you guessed it, two chains on. The Hawks had a "2 Chainz Night" on March 27 against Miami. Their shirt is an absolute must-have for any hip hop head who's also a fan of the Hawks.
Many in Atlanta probably created fake Twitter accounts just to get more retweet eligibility in the giveaway.
