Hawks All-Star Millsap out next two games with shoulder injury

Published Apr. 6, 2015 11:53 a.m. ET

The Atlanta Hawks All-Star forward Paul Millsap suffered a right shoulder injury with 1:52 remaining in the second quarter of Saturday night's game against the Brooklyn Nets and will miss the next two games.

Millsap was knocked to the floor in a collision with Brooklyn's Earl Clark. He was escorted to the team bench, then to the locker room.

According to the Hawks, an X-ray was negative and an MRI revealed a right shoulder sprain and contusion.

His status beyond the two games will be updated "as appropriate," according to a team news release.
