Gentry on Davis shooting threes: 'He's not gonna become Steph Curry'

Anthony Davis is already an unreasonably good player, but temper your expectations on whether he'll become an NBA sharpshooter for now.

From Brett Dawson of The Advocate:

Much has been made this offseason about Davis incorporating the three-point shot into his game. Alvin Gentry is now the head coach, and he's had success converting big men into three-point shooters in the past, most notably with Channing Frye during the 2010 season in Phoenix.

Frye had attempted just 33 shots from three-point distance with the Blazers the year prior, but that number jumped to 392 attempts in his first season with Gentry and the Suns.

Maybe it's a good thing; would a three-point-shooting Davis even be fair for the NBA?
