Gary Harris looking to bounce back from disastrous rookie season

Published Aug. 13, 2015 2:56 p.m. ET

Denver Nuggets shooting guard Gary Harris didn't exactly have the rookie season he planned for. Harris spent a lot of time on the bench, and when he did play, he was mostly unproductive.

In 55 games, Harris shot just 30.9 percent from the field and had a PER of 4.9. In his second season, the swingman from Michigan State is hoping for a bounce back campaign.

Here's more from Kyle Austin at MLive.com:

After leaving East Lansing a year ago following two seasons, Harris went No. 19 overall on draft night and was traded to the Nuggets. But despite the high draft position, Harris soon found himself behind Aaron Afflalo and Randy Foye in the team's shooting guard rotation, and struggling to see the floor. "It was a rookie season," Harris said. "I had ups and downs. It didn't really go as I intended, but there's always next year. Looking forward to getting back out there."
