Frank Kaminsky is finally adjusting to the NBA
The Charlotte Hornets have high hopes for Frank Kaminsky, who they selected ninth overall instead of trading down for a package of four first-round picks from the Boston Celtics on draft night.
They obviously pegged him as a star who can help right away. So far, they're wrong. Kaminsky is only averaging 13.8 minutes and 4.6 points per game. But it's still early, and the 22-year-old rookie says he's still adjusting, per NBA.com:
Kaminsky should receive more playing time as the season goes on, and he's already flashed a lethal three-point stroke.
“You just have so many old habits, me especially, that I have from college because I got accustomed to playing a certain way for four years. I’m almost learning a lot of different things all at once. So it can be difficult but the coaches are there and there is a lot of people there to help you. I’m a visual learner. Once I see it and know what I’m doing, I can pick it up pretty quickly.”
