Five things learned from Game 4

Published Apr. 27, 2015 12:35 p.m. ET

Last night the Houston Rockets didn't look like a team up 3-0 in a best-of-seven series, losing badly to the Dallas Mavericks.

After going down double digits early, the Rockets nearly fought back in the fourth quarter, but it was too little too late.

Here's the Houston Chronicle's Jonathan Feigen with five takeaways from the game.

"As terribly as the Rockets shot, they still put up 109 points. Some of that might be misleading. They made a fourth-quarter run after the Mavericks had already built a 24-point lead. But overall, even with the Rockets’ shooting issues, they got to the rim enough to score well."

Houston can score on this team. That's not a question. But to win Game 5 they must lock things down on the other end. The Rockets' pick-and-roll coverage was a disaster, and their transition defense was messy.

Clean both those issues up and Game 5 should have a much different ending.
