Ex-MTV VJ says MJ tried to bed her

Those of us who can recall a time when MTV actually played music videos probably remember Kennedy.

The veejay, who was a darling of the network throughout the mid-1990s, was popular and cute, in a geeky/innocent kind of way. Or highly annoying — in a highly annoying kind of way.

Well, according to her new book, "The Kennedy Chronicles," that look wasn't just popular with MTV's target audience.

She says none other than Michael Jordan was into her, too. In fact, according to TMZ, her book claims that in 1995 the hoops great tried to take her virginity during a night at a bar with Jordan and music mogul Russell Simmons.

And being the competitive sort he is, she says he tried to win her favor with a game of dice, which is perfect, right?

Kennedy writes that Jordan told her "If I win, you come back to my hotel room with me tonight."

She goes on to say she tried to get him to play for New York Knicks tickets instead, but that the then-married Jordan backed off.

From the book: ". . . as soon as I want basketball tickets he's a Promise Keeper? Whatevs."

TMZ says Jordan didn't respond to a request for comment. And who knows, even if it did happen, it could have all been a joke anyway.

Whatevs.
