Ex-Blazers forward Cliff Robinson hospitalized after minor brain hemorrhage
Former NBA power forward Cliff Robinson, who spent a majority of his career with the Portland Trail Blazers, announced Tuesday that he’s still in the hospital after suffering a minor brain hemorrhage.
Robinson’s family said last week that the former All-Star was admitted to a hospital in Portland but did not reveal the reason.
"I want Trail Blazers fans and friends to know I'm doing well and in the process of getting better," the 50-year-old Robinson said in a statement. "My family and I appreciate the prayers and well-wishes for my recovery. I had an unfortunate incident with a minor brain hemorrhage which means I'll be in rehabilitation for a while. But I'm excited about trying to get past this speed bump. I'm improving every day."
Robinson spent 17 years in the NBA – eight in Portland – and was a key member of the Blazers during the '90s. He was named to the All-Star team during the 1993-94 season, averaging 20.1 points and 6.7 rebounds. He averaged more than 20 points three times in his career, which came to an end in 2007.
