Even NBA champions are waiting around to get a photo with Kobe Bryant
Kobe Bryant is a legend about to fade away from the NBA, but Kendrick Perkins won't let that happen without getting some photographic evidence that he knows the guy.
After Thursday night's thrilling Lakers win over the Pelicans—during which Bryant turned back the clock for a second straight game, going for 27 points and 12 rebounds—the Pelicans backup center just had to take advantage of a solid photo op.
See? It's not just young Lakers fans who are trying to throw some pics of Kobe on their Insta. It's also completely grown men, career-long intimidators who have spent years trying to act as a physical force against Kobe. Perkins was the enforcer for the 2008 Celtics, who played Bryant's Lakers in the Finals. He played the same role for a 2010 Boston team that met L.A. in the Finals once again. He bullied the Lakers as he and his Thunder fought atop the Western Conference standings for years following.
Now, all he wants is a picture. Honestly, it's sweet.
