Eric Bledsoe is out for the season after suffering a knee injury that required surgery in late December, but he's already taking the first important steps in his recovery process.

That was Bledsoe at practice on Monday, all smiles even though he was on crutches and sporting a heavy knee brace.

"He's having a great year and then you go down and you're missing the rest of the year," head coach Jeff Hornacek said, via Suns.com. "It's tough on him. I think a lot of times guys understand that it's sometimes part of the game. You're probably down and depressed that first week. Then as time goes on you start focusing on your rehab and focusing on getting back. It makes it a little better for him."

Bledsoe was playing well individually this season even though the team as a whole had been struggling. He averaged a career-best 20.4 points to go along with four rebounds and 6.1 assists in 34.2 minutes per contest.
