Emmanuel Mudiay and Michael Malone are going to get along just fine
Emmanuel Mudiay and Michael Malone haven't even had one day together, but already the Nuggets coach should be falling head over heels for his new point guard.
In his post-draft conference call with the Denver media, Mudiay said something that will make the defensive-minded Malone even more confident in the pick. As Chris Dempsey of the Boulder Daily Camera and Denver Post reports:
"'I love to guard the best player on the other team. That's the competitive spirit in me,' Mudiay said. 'I feel like that's what's going to separate the game. Not too many people want to play defense.'"
That sound you heard just now was Michael Malone swooning all over again at the sound of those words.
