Dwyane Wade on losing Mario Chalmers: 'It sucks'
It may not feel like it's been that long, but this is Mario Chalmers' eighth year in Miami. Unfortunately for Chalmers and his teammates, though, that tenure ended quickly when the Heat traded him to the Grizzlies on Tuesday.
Chalmers has been a teammate of Dwyane Wade for all those years, and Wade had some kind words for his ex-teammate on the way out. Here's what Wade had to say, courtesy of FOX:
Mario's my guy, man. It's always hard whenever you lose teammates, especially someone that you've been with for a long time, someone you've won championships with. It's not easy. It's the business of the game, and we all understand it. We all know it. But it sucks. Outright, it sucks. But he was having a good season for us. Hopefully it continues in Memphis. I just want the best for him.
Chalmers is averaging 5.5 points and 3.2 assists per game during his six contests this season.
