Dirk Nowitzki on LaMarcus Aldridge: 'We'd love to have him'
The Dallas Mavericks are in a familiar spot this offseason, once again looking to find a star to pair with Dirk Nowitzki.
With Portland Trail Blazers star and Texas native LaMarcus Aldridge entering free agency, it seems likely that the Mavs will pursue him, even though he plays the same position as Nowitzki.
For what it's worth, Nowitzki seemingly put any issues about the fit with Aldridge to bed with his recent comments.
Here's more from Eddie Sefko of the Dallas Morning News:
“We’d love to have him,” Nowitzki said Tuesday at the Mavericks’ Hoop Camp presented by Academy Sports and Outdoors at Episcopal School of Dallas. “He’s great midrange shooter. He plays bigger than he is on the defensive end. He’s a good rebounder on both ends of the floor and on that left block, he’s a beast. So I mean, he’s a really, really good player.”
