Dating a Kardashian? Hire a PR rep

What's the best way for a pub-hungry athlete to boost his Q rating off the court? Date a Kardashian, of course.

That is the game plan being implemented by otherwise anonymous New Jersey Nets forward Kris Humphries, who has hired a publicist specifically to help spread the word about his new dating relationship with reality television star Kim Kardashian, the New York Post reports.

The seven-year veteran (averaging 8.0 points and 9.2 rebounds per game this season) has hired Liza Anderson, who also represents Eva Longoria, (soon to be ex-)wife of San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker.

A source tells the Post that "Kim is a master at her own publicity. Kris' team wanted to make sure they get his message out. It was a decision by his management team."

Another source says that the two lovebirds are working on spending more time together over the holiday season, and Sports by Brooks points out that the affair may be helping already, judging by People Magazine's recent piece on the new duo.
