Curry is out for Game 2 of playoffs with ankle injury

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) NBA MVP Stephen Curry is out for the Golden State Warriors in Game 2 of their playoff series against the Houston Rockets because of an injured right ankle.

Curry cut short his pregame routine Monday night after appearing to be in discomfort dealing with the ankle.

He began his extensive warmup routine before leaving the court about 5 minutes later, putting little pressure on the tender ankle while taking several shots.

How he felt before the game was to determine whether he played. He didn't take part in the morning shootaround Monday or practice on Sunday after getting hurt late in the first half of Game 1 on Saturday.
