Could Caron Butler sign with the Wizards?

Published Jun. 12, 2015 2:57 p.m. ET

After being traded from the Detroit Pistons to the Milwaukee Bucks yesterday, veteran forward Caron Butler could still be on the move.

Butler has a non-guaranteed contract that can be waived by the Bucks before June 30th, which would make him a free agent on the open market.

With the Wizards potentially in need of veteran help, would Butler return to Washington D.C., where he spent over four years of his prime?

Here's more from Ben Mehic at Wiz Of Awes

"With Drew Gooden, Rasual Butler, Will Bynum and Kevin Seraphin all entering unrestricted free agency, Ernie Grunfeld is going to have some open roster spots to fill this off-season. I’m not sure if the Wizards are a legitimate contender, but you’d have to think that Caron Butler would enjoy playing for a winning team again, especially after spending the last few years on losing squads."
