Corey Brewer not impressed by James Harden's career night

Published Mar. 20, 2015 3:34 a.m. ET

Last night, James Harden dropped a 50 spot on the Denver Nuggets. It was more points than he'd ever scored in one game, and afterward, Houston Rockets head coach Kevin McHale figured it was worthwhile to let his team know just how impressive the performance was.

Of course, one of Harden's teammates already knows what scoring that many points feels like and didn't pass up the opportunity to remind everyone he once did the MVP candidate one better.

What makes this statement even more legendary after it first meets the eye is the fact that Corey Brewer scored his 51 points last season against the RocketsHarden was his primary defender!

For his seven-year career, Brewer's averaging 10.2 points on an inefficient 42.9 percent from the field. He's never made an All-NBA or All-Star team and never will. The MVP is a pipe dream. But no matter what happens, he'll always be able to dangle that night over Harden's head. It must be sweet.
