Clippers' Paul Pierce calls out Warriors for choking in 2016 Finals

Clippers forward Paul Pierce appeared on HBO's Any Given Wednesday with Bill Simmons this week, and the veteran didn't mince words when talking about the 2016 NBA Finals.

Simmons asked Pierce, "Did Cleveland win last year, or did Golden State choke?"

"Golden State choked," Pierce replied. "Like, seriously, I mean 3–1? 3–1? You're not supposed to lose 3–1, you should never lose. Golden State choked. [I] never [blew a 3–1 lead]. That would never happen."

Pierce is playing in his 19th (and final) NBA season and his second season with the Clippers, who could be one of this year's biggest threats to the defending Western Conference champion Warriors.

If the Cubs win Game 7 of the World Series on Wednesday and overcome a 3–1 series deficit, we may also need to get Pierce's thoughts on the Cleveland Indians.
