Chicago Bulls at Boston Celtics: Game Info and How to Watch

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

Halloween might be behind us, but the Chicago Bulls are still spooky good. The Bulls went undefeated in the month of October, their best start since the 1996-97 season. On Wednesday, Chicago will visit Boston in a rematch of the season opener at the United Center last week.

It doesn’t matter where the points have been coming from, the Bulls have been getting enough of them to be the team with more than their opponents at the end of the predetermined length of competition in every game this season.

The Celtics are aware of this; they were the first team to fall victim to Chicago this season. The Bulls lit it up against Boston, hitting 11-for-25 from 3-point range, capped with a lovely game-sealing dagger from Dwyane Wade.

The other key for the Bulls was the work of newly anointed starting power forward, Taj Gibson. Gibson played some lock down defense on Al Horford, keeping him at bay for much of the first quarter.

The Celtics were playing a SEGABABA (second game of a back-to-back), coming off a victory of the awful, terrible, no good Brooklyn Nets when they last met Chicago. This time around, they will be the home team, coming off three days of rest.

Avery Bradley put up 31 points and 11 rebounds against the Hornets on Saturday, a considerably better outing than his performance against the Bulls. For Chicago, Doug McDermott found his stroke, hitting 5-for-6 from 3-point range against the Pacers and Gibson will be looking to increase his trade value with another stout performance against Horford.

People are high on the Bulls after three consecutive wins, but this will be the first real test for Fred Hoiberg’s team. The Celtics are rested and ready. Hopefully, Game 7 of the World Series won’t keep everyone distracted from what is sure to be a great game.
