Will Barton has seemingly come out of nowhere this season and risen to basketball prominence. It took until Barton's fourth year in the league, but now, the 25-year-old is finally an everything man off the Nuggets' bench.

He's getting some honors, too, like being able to participate in the Slam Dunk Contest, scheduled for Feb. 13 in Toronto. Here are some reasons why:

Barton is averaging 15.5 points per game as Denver's sixth man this season. He's not just dunking, either. The shooting guard is knocking down 38 percent of his threes on the season. But those dunks, that athleticism will make things way more fun in Toronto come next weekend.
