Chandler Parsons wants to be a GM one day

Perhaps no player has been a more active recruiter during the offseasons lately than Dallas Mavericks star Chandler Parsons.

Parsons hasn't been shy about vocalizing his desire to play with certain players, and although his biggest attempt to lure DeAndre Jordan to Dallas ultimately backfired, he still clearly has a passion for recruiting.

Perhaps it makes sense that when Parsons is done playing, he wants to step into a front office role and become a general manager.

Here's what Parsons told Tim Bontemps of the Washington Post in a recent Q&A session:

"Just my personality, being outgoing. I want to win, so I want to recruit the best players. I want to get the biggest stars. For that to happen, you have to go out and get stars in free agency, and you’ve got to be aggressive. I have a lot of relationships with guys through off-court things and my agent and different things I do when we’re not playing. It’s just part of my personality to go out and do that."

Q: Is that something you’d possibly like to pursue as a career after you’re done as a player?

"Yeah, for sure. I would love to be a general manager. I love the draft, love free agency, love things like that. I love scouting."
